Carnival Cruise Line

Ocean cruise line. Carnival Cruise Line is based in Doral, Florida, and is part of Carnival Corporation. Its ships sail from US ports all year, mostly on short trips of 3 to 8 nights to the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Mexico.

Carnival sails big, casual ships from the US ports closest to home: Galveston, Miami, Port Canaveral, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Tampa, Baltimore, Norfolk and Long Beach. Most trips are 3 to 8 nights, so a cruise fits in a long weekend or a normal week off.

The Caribbean and Bahamas make up most of the schedule, with Mexico from the West Coast, Alaska and Hawaii in season, and ships based in Australia for the southern summer. Carnival also runs its own private-island stops in the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos.

Trips

  • 3 to 5 night getaways to the Bahamas and Mexico
  • 7 night Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean cruises
  • Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach
  • Alaska from Seattle and Vancouver in summer
  • Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific sailings
  • Europe and transatlantic voyages on a few ships

Who it suits

Families, first-time cruisers and groups who want a lively ship, a short trip and a departure port they can drive to.
