Warsaw Polish Food Tour
Discover Warsaw the way locals eat, one story at a time. On this walking food tour you'll wander from the Old Town's Castle Square down the historic Royal Route, tasting your way through four traditional Polish eateries, hearty wild-mushroom soup, gołąbki, pierogi, crispy potato pancakes and a famous rose-jam doughnut, before finishing at a local bar with a traditional Polish vodka toast. Your local guide brings each dish, and the city's history, legends and landmarks, to life along the way. It's not a restaurant checklist; it's Poland's culture, served plate by plate.
Your experience
Stop 1
This is where your Polish food journey begins, beside the towering Sigismund's Column at the gateway to Warsaw's UNESCO-listed Old Town. Your guide gathers the group here, introduces the city and Poland's hearty food culture, and points out the pink-façaded Royal Castle before you set off to your first tasting.
Stop 2
From Castle Square your guide points out the Royal Castle, former residence of Polish kings, and tells the remarkable story of how it was rebuilt brick by brick after being destroyed in WWII. We admire it from the square and move on.
Stop 3
We stroll through the colourful heart of the Old Town — a square of merchant houses painstakingly rebuilt after the war — where your guide pauses for photos beside the bronze Warsaw Mermaid (Syrenka), the sword-wielding symbol of the city.
