With steep mountain walls, narrow passages, and impressive landscapes, the fjord offers a quiet and unforgettable way to experience Norway’s nature. The Nærøyfjord is a branch of the Sognefjord and stretches for about 17 kilometres, with mountains rising up to 1,800 metres above sea level. Surrounded by steep mountains and waterfalls, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and some of the most beautiful scenery in the region. The village is home to the famous Flåm Railway, which winds its way from the fjord up to the mountain station at Myrdal – a remarkable train journey often described as one of the most beautiful in the world. In Flåm, you’ll have some free time to explore what interests you most – perhaps a visit to the charming Flåm Church or the Railway Museum, or simply a coffee and a sweet treat at a local bakery. *Please note that the amount of free time in Flåm varies depending on the season, daylight hours, and the boat and train schedules at the time of your tour.
