Northern Lights Rovaniemi: 100% Money-Back Guarantee & Photos
5.0 / 5 · 74 traveler reviews
Experience a reliable Northern Lights hunt from Rovaniemi with an expert team focused on finding clear skies and real aurora visibility, backed by our simple promise: No aurora = No payment. We do not follow fixed loops, we chase conditions. Each night our route is planned from scratch using cloud data, solar forecasts, and road access so we can position ourselves in the best possible viewing locations. If the skies are open 120 km away, that's where we go. On larger departures, we operate with a heated coach bus and multiple guides to ensure smooth coordination, guest support, and photography assistance. All departures are led by a trained Aurora photographer who sends the edited photos digitally after the tour. Throughout the experience we keep you comfortable with warm berry juice and snacks at our viewing spot. Meeting times adapt to the forecast and are usually between 18:00 and 20:00. The exact time will be confirmed by our team at 15:00 on the day of your tour by email.
Your experience
Stop 1
Guests will board our heated bus and have their tickets scanned at the Polar Lapland office before departure. Once everyone is ready, we set out into the Lapland night to hunt for clear skies and the Northern Lights.
Stop 2
After finding clear skies, your guide will direct the group to a viewing location away from light pollution. Here we begin photography and serve warm juice. If conditions allow, we may also light a small fire for extra warmth and comfort. Then we simply enjoy the Northern Lights.
Stop 3
When the viewing is finished, we will head back toward Rovaniemi. Upon arrival, the group will be dropped off at the Polar Lapland Office, where the tour concludes. All photos taken during the night are sent digitally afterwards.
