Approx. 90 minutes at Cradle Mt National Park (depending on ship schedule). In 1910, Gustav Weindorfer declared that this should become a National Park accessible to everyone for all eternity. Today, it stands as one of Australia's renowned national parks, safeguarding a majestic glacial terrain and the remarkable plant and animal life it harbors. The rugged outlines of Cradle Mountain encircle the frigid Dove Lake, creating a striking panorama that you can appreciate as you wander along the lake's shores. This dolerite summit stands out as one of the park's natural wonders, though the unpredictable weather of Tasmania's highlands frequently veils the mountain in mist.
