Your experience
Stop 1
Set out on a full-day journey along one of Australia’s most spectacular coastal routes. Experience the iconic 12 Apostles, explore the dramatic beauty of Loch Ard Gorge and enjoy the chance to spot koalas in their natural habitat, all with an expert guide helping bring the Great Ocean Road to life along the way.
Stop 2
Ease into your Great Ocean Road adventure with a complimentary morning tea near the famous seaside town of Torquay.
Stop 3
Stop at one of the Great Ocean Road’s most recognisable landmarks and capture the classic photo beneath the Memorial Arch.
Stop 4
Head into the eucalyptus-covered Kennett River area and keep your eyes on the treetops for wild koalas and colourful native birds. Your guide’s local knowledge helps make wildlife spotting part of the adventure as you experience the natural side of the Great Ocean Road. Please note: We will not be visiting Kennett River from 20 July to 20 September 2026 due to its temporary closure. During this period, we will visit an alternative location for koala spotting.
Stop 5
Take a relaxing break in the picturesque seaside town of Apollo Bay, surrounded by ocean and the Otway Ranges. Enjoy some free time to explore the town, soak up the coastal atmosphere and purchase lunch from one of the local cafés or restaurants.
Stop 6
Step beneath the canopy of the Otway Ranges on a guided walk through ancient cool-temperate rainforest. Wander among towering trees, lush ferns and native vegetation while your guide shares insights into the remarkable environment surrounding you.
Stop 7
Experience the Great Ocean Road’s most famous landmark as towering limestone formations rise dramatically from the Southern Ocean. Take time to enjoy the viewpoints, capture the scenery and appreciate the scale of this unforgettable coastline. Your guide will help you make the most of your visit and, when conditions and access allow, may also take you to Gibson Steps for a different perspective from closer to sea level.
Stop 8
Explore the towering cliffs, sheltered beach and dramatic coastline of Loch Ard Gorge. As you take in the scenery, your guide will bring the area’s fascinating maritime history to life through the remarkable story of the Loch Ard shipwreck.
Stop 9
Enjoy a short dinner stop in the country town of Colac, with time to purchase a meal at your own expense before continuing the journey back to Melbourne.
