Founded by Transylvanian Saxons in the 12th century, it boasts cobbled streets, colorful houses, and the iconic Clock Tower. Steeped in history, Sighișoara is the birthplace of Vlad Țepeș—known as Vlad the Impaler—whose legacy inspired the Dracula legend. Its fortified walls and Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture capture a unique medieval charm. A living museum, Sighișoara preserves a rich cultural heritage and a timeless atmosphere.
Stop 2
Viscri is a picturesque Transylvanian village, renowned for its timeless charm and Saxon heritage. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is home to a beautifully preserved 12th-century fortified church, a symbol of the region’s medieval roots. Founded by Saxon settlers, Viscri has retained its traditional architecture and rural lifestyle. The village gained global attention thanks to King Charles III, who owns a restored house here and actively supports its preservation. Viscri offers a glimpse into authentic rural life, blending history, culture, and sustainability in a peaceful, pastoral setting.
Stop 3
Sibiu, a cultural gem of Transylvania, blends medieval charm with modern vibrancy. Founded by Saxons in the 12th century, it became a major trade and cultural center. Its historic center, with grand squares, Gothic churches, and pastel facades, is a UNESCO-listed site. Landmarks like the Brukenthal Palace and the Bridge of Lies reflect its rich heritage. Sibiu was named European Capital of Culture in 2007, highlighting its artistic spirit.
