4.8 / 5 · 40 traveler reviews

Make the most of your time ashore with The Rocks Walking Tours, sharing Sydney’s history since 1978. Our meeting point in The Rocks is an easy walk from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, making this a convenient way to explore Sydney’s historic harbour neighbourhood. On this 90-minute guided walk, discover laneways, cobbled streets and hidden courtyards that are easy to miss on your own. Your local guide brings the past to life through stories of convicts, sailors, merchants and everyday people who shaped the city. Explore heritage buildings, terrace cottages and Cadman’s Cottage, and enjoy views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and harbour foreshore along the way. With no more than 20 guests, a leisurely pace and opportunities to ask questions, you’ll enjoy a personal introduction to The Rocks. Covering approximately two kilometres, with two daily departures to choose from, this tour combines local knowledge, storytelling and hidden discoveries during your Sydney visit.
