Zhangye One Day City Tour
This is a private tour of attractions downtown Zhangye. You can make most of your time without any tourist shopping stops. Pick-up and drop-off hotel or personal address is supposed to be in the city. Service time maximum to 8 hours but you can request to depart a bit earlier or later. Tour itinerary can be customized to your needs.
Your experience
Stop 1
contains the largest indoor reclining Buddha in China. In 1098, the chancellor of the Western Xia Dynasty alledgedly excavated, although probably ordered to be built, a reclining Buddha covered with colored glazed tiles.
Stop 2
Originally built in the Sui Dynasty and restored in 1926, the wooden tower is 9 storied with a height of about 40 meters. It is an essence among the wooden towers in China. Buddhist relics were once stored in this tower.
Stop 3
The Bell and Drum Tower, The bell tower is located in the city center. It was first built in 1507AD and reconstructed during the Qing dynasty.
