Almaty: Walk Through Monuments and Cultural Landmarks

This self-guided audio walk explores central Almaty through its monuments, public spaces, and cultural institutions. The route begins at Dostyk Hotel and leads along a compact urban corridor lined with memorials to major intellectual and literary figures, including Alkey Margulan, Shokan Valikhanov, Pushkin, Taras Shevchenko, and Abay Kunanbaiuly. Along the way, you pass the Oriental Calendar fountain, the landmark Kazakhstan Hotel, the Arman cinema, and the area around Abay metro.
