Get to know the beauty of Budapest with this in-app audio tour!

Budapest is one of the most fascinating capitals in Europe. Its heart is an impressive castle district located high on a hill. This tour will take you on a walk around this historic area.

You will enter the castle area through Vienna Gate, one of the old unique entrances to the castle hill. You will listen to marvelous stories about Hungary's history and modern life while enjoying the wonderful view over the Buda side.

Then the tour will then take you to the Matthias Church, where you will examine its unusual colorful roof decorated with ceramics and learn why it is named after King Matthias. Afterward, you'll climb up the Fishermen's Bastion for a superb view over the Danube, the Hungarian Parliament on the opposite side of the river, and the famous Chain Bridge.

Your journey will continue at the Sandor Palace, the headquarters of the president of Hungary, created in an elegant classical style. Then, of course, you will see the magnificent Royal Palace demolished during World War II. Today it houses the Hungarian National Gallery.

At the end of the tour, you will have a chance to take a walk down to the Gelert Thermal Baths. You will learn about different treatments available there and get recommendations from a local.
